Mind the gap!

The Museum’s Curator has received a mysterious message from a passenger who forgot to ‘mind the gap’ and is lost in time. We need your help to unravel the mystery! Through our brand new interactive adventure, your class will experience a private visit to the Museum Depot in Acton. Uncover the secrets of our collection and discover how London’s transport has changed over the years as you race against time to solve clues and puzzles.

Digging deeper

Step onto the historic Battle Bus and learn from Joe Clough what life was like on the battlefield during the First World War, driving a London bus, one of our city’s most iconic vehicles. Discover why Joe left Jamaica, how he became a bus driver and his experiences at the Western Front.

Booking

Booking a session is the best way to get the most out of your visit. Our school workshops are competitively priced and cost between £40 and £80 per session and include free entry to the Museum for UK school groups. Please see our Schools Programme brochure above for full details. Free self-guided visits are also available for UK school groups but must be booked in advance.

We accept payment by credit/debit card or BACS. We regret that we no longer accept cheques. Please ensure that payment reaches us within one week from the date of making your booking.

If you need to cancel your session charges may apply. All cancellations must be received in writing, by either post or email to [email protected]. Cancellations made within 3 months from the date of your visit will incur the full cost of the session.
