All change for a new cafe!

The Upper Deck Cafe will be closed from Friday 16 August until early October for refurbishment.

A selection of light refreshments including hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and ice cream will be available in the Lower Deck cafe.

Access to the first floor of the London Transport Museum shop will not be affected by this building work.

If you have any questions about what facilities will be available during your visit, please contact our booking office via our switchboard number, +44 (0)343 222 5000

Upper Deck cafe bar

Situated at the front of the Museum with views of Covent Garden Piazza, the Upper Deck cafe bar is the perfect destination to take the family for lunch before touring the Museum, or to meet friends for a transport-themed cocktail. Hot and cold food and drinks are available throughout the day, including sandwiches, burgers and handmade pasta. Take your little travellers out to eat guilt-free – our kids meals come with carrots and cucumbers. Relax with freshly made cakes and award-winning Benugo blend coffee, or unwind with friends over a cold beer or glass of wine.

Join us after-hours at one of our special Late night openings, and sip on speciality cocktails in a funky setting. The interior features seating upholstered in a unique ‘moquette’ fabric design based on the pattern used on the Northern line in the 1930s. With music, bars, hot food, talks, and interactives, our Lates events are a great way to discover the Museum after-hours. See our Events Calendar for what’s coming up.

Object of the Month

Country walks were marketed as a healthy antidote to a week spent in an office or factory. This embroidery of a young couple enjoying a picnic was created for a poster to encourage people to get out and about.
