Christmas

Santas Hideaway

30 November – 5 January

All aboard for the festive season at London Transport Museum!

Santa will be visiting us all throughout December. Visit him in his secret hideaway, full of twinkling lights and comfy seats, or see if you can track him down in one of the heritage vehicles in the Museum for a super Santa Selfie!

There's storytime and singing sessions for the little ones, and your chance to make special bunting and decorations to take home.

If you're looking to see the sights (and lights) of London, then why not book a ticket for our Lights & Sights tour? There's family and adult-only events available to jump on a vintage bus and tour some of the most spectacular Christmas sights you can find in the Capital.

And don't forget our shop – in Covent Garden or online! Pick up unique Christmas gifts for the whole family or treat yourself to one of our comfy Christmas jumpers – complete with buses, Tubes, snowflakes and roundels (of course!)

What do our visitors say?

'Such a brilliant museum and the Christmas section is magical'

'This has become the most wonderful family tradition'

Object of the month

Passengers coming into St Pancras station in the 1980s would be greeted by posters like this encouraging them to travel across the city on Underground lines . It's also the inspiration for our Open Weekend artwork!
