Guided tours

The majority of the 450,000 objects in the Museum’s care are housed at our Depot in Acton. Members of the public can get behind the scenes and explore this treasure trove on one of our special guided tours.

There is something for everyone. Discover transport and design delights including historic road and rail vehicles, engineering equipment, vehicle and architectural models, original artworks and posters, textiles and ceramics.

Choose from a varied programme exploring highlights from our collection. Explore historic vehicles and engineering feats and see ground-breaking examples of art and design.

You can also explore the Depot at one of our three annual Open Weekends, and enjoy the many activities on offer, including mini-tours, talks and film screenings, plus activities for all the family.
